Indefinite pronouns are a type of pronoun that do not refer to any specific person, thing, or amount. Instead, they refer to non-specific or unknown entities. They are used when the speaker does not need to provide precise details or when the details are either irrelevant or unknown. Here are some common indefinite pronouns and examples of their usage:

  1. Somebody / Someone: Refers to an unspecified person. Example: “Somebody called for you while you were out.”
  2. Anybody / Anyone: Refers to any person without specifying. Example: “Has anybody seen my keys?”
  3. Everybody / Everyone: Refers to all people in a group. Example: “Everyone enjoyed the party.”
  4. Nobody / No one: Refers to no person at all. Example: “Nobody knows the answer.”
  5. Something: Refers to an unspecified thing. Example: “There is something strange about this place.”

  16. Each: Refers to every one of a group individually. Example: “Each student must submit their assignment by Friday.”
  17. All: Refers to the entirety of a group or everything in a set. Example: “All the tickets for the concert have been sold.”
